Hello. Yes, they do work. But, remember it depends on your give away if they're tempting and good or not. If people see a sale or something in a site, or a freebie and the offer is good, then of course they'll find out about it. And if they're satisfied, then they're lured already at your site.

Well-targeted giveaways do work. I had a free book recommendation guide that I offered to booklovers - they all jumped on it and loved it. :)

It really works. Most of the clients are skeptical and they want to try the products or services for free. By doing this, you increase their buying potential if they were satisfied and contented with your products/services. And your site will be credited for such a quality products you offer...
Go try it..good luck!:)

Yes they do work. And just as how nakchura said it, it would entirely depend on the kind of offer you are going to give. People love small competitions wherein they could win some freebies.

Yes. Not to mention that while they're reading and finding out more about these giveaways, it takes time for them. As a result, you also gain good traffic in your sites. Its great when you're also doing affiliate marketing.

I would add this: if at all possible, make sure your free giveaway is a "no strings attached" thing. People want to see that they will not be billed later, that there are no shipping charges, and their info does not go on some mailing list.
